I solved this particular problem by cutting the arms off my steamer Sure, I put up with arm pump for about a year as I couldn't bring myself to cut up my nice steamer but in the end one day I could take it no more and simply cut them off just above the elbow. Perfect.

There is an alternate solution and that's to buy a windsurfing specific steamer. Most of these either already have short sleeve arms or have larger diameter arms/different materials so they are not as tight. The Neilpryde ones are supposed to be good, however I don't have one myself so couldn't comment definitively.

Check out the npx ( neil pryde )wetties. I've always used oneil steamers which retail for $550 odd. Last year I got one of the npx ones, it's 3/3 made for euro summers haha. Best windsurfing wetty if ever had. No forearm burn and no bubble legs, great for surfing as well. And less than half the price of oneill, ripcurl ect. Well worth a look.

I've dealt with this problem for decades..

My favorite solution is a convertable, (sleeveless).
However I use oversized 2 mm sleeves for the cooler days. (loose, but warm)

For cold conditions, The O'Neil Semi-Dry with 5mm legs and a breathable, but
dry top. (all one piece, not restrictive at all) Great solution, easy in and out,
but expensive.

I own a Psycho II, but it too is very tight on the forearms. I
now use it only in the surf (surfing).

Hope this helps
