is there difference between enigma 550 mast 2011 and 2012?
i am going to buy 10.7 reflex-3 2012, but my local store can get 550 mast 2011 only.
can it be a problemm to rig sail 2012 and mast 2011?

==> My Reflex 9.6 delivery took 4 month only to be told that the sail will come with the ordered mast. WTF???
After a short but direct conversation that a sail without a fitting mast is of no use for me, the shop could organize an older demo enigma mast.
So far to the frustration, now I'm using the old mast and can't blame.

Last weekend we had our annual Japanese See windsurf cup, as usual without proper wind, so that I could use the 9.6 and had some pro's checking my sail and setting.
==> I was using too much downhaul but used the recommended settings. ==> The new mast must be harder.
What I understood from the pro which had a chance to use the new mast (only 1) was that the new mast has a larger diameter in the top section. He actually preferred using the 2011 mast. (Friendly & honest pro)
For me, the older enigma mast does the job, but I'm looking forward to the new one as I want to feel the difference in performance.
Anyways, the sail quality is good (only the zipper is not as good as in the Vapors I use) but the product availability is catastrophic...

I have just started using a redline 530 with this sail and it feels pretty sweet (i am aprox 75kg)
If your light weight- maybe consider the shorter mast.

I was using 2011 Eniqma 550 on this year Reflex III 12.0. Performance was perfect and I was very happy ,I think it is best formula sail I tested ever.
Unfortunately after aproximately 10 sessions mast broke few minutes after rigging.It was almost no sun that day,air temperature +16C ,so definetely mast was not overheated. Mast broke above boom opening ,sail was damaged.
I tried to rig this sail with my old Red line 550 but ,upper cambers are way to loose, there is not enough tension in upper battens.So now I am using my old Code Red 11.0 :-( .

my local store spoke today to severne rep. in vancouver.
rep. told, that there is no difference. Only cosmetic.
