Dunno about light, but the Dakine freestyle ones are super comfortable.

This could work but may not hold it's shape so may be difficult to slip your feet into quickly. Costs nothing to try if you have an old set kicking around.

Dakine contours are hard to beat for comfort, plenty of nice soft padding and they keep their shape.

thx Faff, I'll look into them.

Hey Mark,

I have the contours and really liked them. only issue I find is they stretch. the one I broke was the contour. pretty much exactly what I'm chasing but without the stretch.

Could be tricky but Gorilla Grip made some super light comfy straps back in the day. A shop may still have some floating around.

I had fanatic ones before. They always felt either too loose or too tight. In a way, I was always aware of them. I never think about the Dakines. It's like with boots - all the ones I had before were always worse than sailing barefoot (I made a lot of progress when I ditched boots). My current ones - no different to sailing barefoot.

I love the new Drake footstraps that Starboard ships with their new boards. Issue is getting a few extra for my other boards.
