in 19 years sailing spent around $45,000......sold around $5,000

a little over $2000 per year.

a little cheaper than most golfers spend. a bit more than raquet sports i think.

heavyweights probably spend a lot more on replacing broken gear.

im my hole sailing life of no more that 4yrs max ..no more than 5grand .. 1board and a new 2nd hand sail every season or so does me ..

Including vehicles probably about $40K over 25 years. Excluding vehicles probably around $20K in today's money.

There were a few breaks over those 25 years.

I seem to spend around $2000 a year on gear too.
