Have been using the 2008 7.7m code-red for last 2 years for light wind,10-15knots.

Today, tried the 2011 7.8m warp. Biggest plus using the warp was it felt so much lighter, cam rotation better too.

Downside, i could not get it upwind near as high!

I overlayed the two sails and the Warp has around 40cm more luff curve than the code-red,measured from the head of the sail. [without a tape measure]

Does more luff curve in the sail reduce the upwind ability of the sail?

And does it also help to make the sail feel lighter?
