Why all the thumbs down? The people selling them seem okay. They talked themselves out of a sale with me as I was looking for a new mast for my Pryde sails. They tested their mast and advised the curve on their masts did not suite the cut of Pryde racing sails.

If the masts are no good just say so, but I wouldn't want a new mob to get a bad wrap for no good reasion.

nah, i snapped a mast so need a new cheap one.

Has anyone used one? just curious. Considering a 430 before summer comes, I was leaning towards an ezzy skinny due to the convenience of buying halves at a time if needed. cheers.

have you looked around for a second hand good one?

I am in Coffs which is pretty well much half way between Syd and Bris which would prob be the closest store or larger windsurfing communities to pick up 2nd hand gear. I wanted to try a skinny, they are pretty rare to find 2nd hand around here.

I know board crazy[ Newcastle] has second hand skinnys

Yes we get them in secondhand occationally, we have a Naish Firestick 430 or Sailworks Backbone 430 available at the moment. Generaly they feel the same as a standard mast, they are alot stronger and mast breakages in the surf pretty much are a thing of the past. The biggest difference is the sail rotation as they don't have a big mast to rotate around and when you grab the mast after a gybe they feel more cumfy in your hands..

Coastal Curves in Nambucca www.coastalcurves.com/ is meant to have gear (or at least source it) and Jordans's Boating Centre www.jordans.com.au/ in Port also (both I haven't ventured to yet, so not sure, as both have websites with little ws info)
