Thinking of buying a 6.4 evo5 race sail ,older model 2014 I think but in good nick ,tried finding info on the net
question is .
Can I use my 100% RDM neilpryde mast on it ,
i know the bend will be correct ,just wonder if the cams will be ok in doing so
i did find on the net the 2019 6.4 will use both by tighten the battens ,no cam change needed ..
I don't really want to buy another mast as my RDM is quite new .

just looking for a bit of fun on a race sail ,without blowing the budget ..i'm a non racer ..just a blaster ..

thanks waveinn .

That sail wasn't designed to work with a RDM mast and you won't be able to change the cambers to anything else other than the original NP cambers that are on it.
I am afraid you will just have to use the correct mast.

What AUS4 said is correct however Roo has managed to convert his EVO8 6.4 to suit RDM but I haven't asked how so maybe he will see this and shed some light.

Any NP EVO can be changed over to work with RDM masts. The piece you need is the bridge that hold the camber arms together, you can see it in the right bottom of attached picture. It is narrower no fit around the RDM mast. NP has them available but I 3D print them so I always have some handy. To fine tune the sail you need to use longer camber arms to take up the slack in the luff tube, ideal if you are going for ultimate performance but not really necessary for freeriding.

Sometimes some hard to find items are available at neil pryde asap in Hong kong. I managed to find a stainless clip for my np evo 6 clew after it gave up the ghost. The rdm cambers for my 5.8 were also sourced from the same outlet. It's handy to have an access point like this as I can understand why the local dealer would not stock EVERY part.

Hi
Has anyone successfully bought the rdm camber bridges?
Where from?
are they easy to fit?
ive got a NP Evo 7 5.8, NP don't make a SDM 400 any more!
what are the alternatives in SDM I broke my flx100 400?
Preferably cost effective, unfortunately rarely get to use this size!
Super thanks!

Ezzy clammed sails come with cams or did with the Infinity and Lions, and a measure to fit to the particular mast .
someone should have extra that aren't used.
hint Ezzy may give or sell what you may need, don't specify the NP mast.

I hate cams .

Don't mess around with other cams or other brand masts. Try to find an older NP X9 mast, one with the big white stickers. The 2011 and 2012 models work very well in newer Evo's. They tend to make the sail a bit softer compared to the FLX's is my experience. Haven't noticed any loss in performance with the X9's.
