Does anyone have any idea of what would be the strongest carbon boom available? I seem to be fairly rough with gear and I am looking for the most bomb proof boom around. I would be interested in hearing different experiences with carbon booms (not allum)
Cheers

I have had a Neil Pryde X7 for about 5 years now... it's full carbon and has a reduced diameter arm. Still going strong.

Bought an X9 last year. It's a also a pretty nice boom but the arms are a bit thicker than what I have on the X7. The only drawback about the X9 is that it's a pretty pricey piece of equipment.

Rick from Sail West in Gerladton swears by the Streamlined carbon booms. Josh Angulo is using them and rumor has it so is Dunkerbeck. The Streamlined booms are made in a factory in California using industrial grade carbon... sadly the streamlined booms are also the most expensive on the market. The last price I saw was $1095 for a boom.

In comparison, I talked to someone who has just come back from Maui. He bought what I think was a Chinook Carbon boom over there for US$450.
