I'm using the original Pyro 1 in 87L and do really enjoy this board as a one board wave solution.
The board is now getting into its 5th season and I'm looking for an upgrade but I wonder if the current Pyro3 is actually any different or maybe the unknown 2026 Pyro.
The details shared on the Pyro3 with different fins and some apparent changes to the ticked und edges do not really push me the get the change the board.
Does anybody has experience with an update or even the 2026 Pyro (volumes seems to remain unchnazagain)
I have the Pyro 87 in the 2025 version.
I think the shape and the construction was tweaked for 2024 - when the first red ones came out - but the basic shape is the same and I personally can't tell the difference.
For 2025, the Pyro foot pads changed to a camouflage colour, and apparently they sharpened the rails a bit.
The red of the 2025 Pyro, compared to 2024, is a bit more sanded, with black carbon showing through.
They also changed the fin material construction to be more composite with some plastic content. That is said to give the fins more flex.
I have other size waveboards, but the Pyro 87 is still a very good one board wave solution.
