Had a try of Ben's latest offering yesterday. Pretty flat and patchy in Port Phillips bay but the Nano was great. Will have to take it out in real waves next but all indications are it's a winner. 93L felt more like an 84L in the air and in turns but float was there when you needed it and it's really fast!

Its the demo board, just give Paul a buzz and book it. I have a feeling its going to be very popular.

Got sucked in and bought a 83L, don't try one if you have any spare cash or like me you will probably be a poorer sailor.

Terrible gusty, choppy and very on shore conditions today but the 83L Severne Nano turned it into a pretty fun session. Wind was anything from 15 - 35 knots and pretty on shore, I was on a 4.0 S1 Pro which was perfect most of the time.

Was a bit worried as the shape is noticeably different to the 93L, especially the first 1/3 of the board but on the water it planed just as quick as the 93L and turned just a well. The 83L had no trouble with the on shore chop which was surprising given the length of the board and how rough it was. Was a bit easier to manage in the air compared to the 93L which was already easy. 83L felt surprisingly floaty, more float than my old 84L which is great.

Definitely going to try it as a quad next, so many fin options with 5 boxes. Maiden voyage and its a keeper that's for sure.

I'm not sure how many will be available for this season, better get on it quick from what Paul at Zu told me. You should have seen the stalled forward Tao busted out yesterday on the 93L in those crappy conditions. Dam fine jumping board.

I tried the Severne 93L Nano as a quad set up at Sunset beach in Geraldton in small swell with a 4.8m S1.
Found the board easy to sail, early planing, fast, smooth through chop.
Loose to turn, quite slashy off the top, minimal swing weight due to the length and all round super fun.
Feels like its much smaller than it is.......Magic Carpet.

Looks like Nanos are breeding. Tried a heap of different fin setups now in the bay and think I have settled on a pair of 16.5 Maui Ultras on the back and a pair of small reshaped K4 fins up front. The stock fronts felt a bit big with the 16.5s.

It's a great jumping board and magic in the cross on bay swell we get in Melbourne.

Seems faster and looser than the stock thruster setup. I think I'll still use it as a thruster when is really onshore. Still haven't had chance to give it a go in decent surf though but Wednesday is looking OK.

Still keen to try a set of 15.5 Maui Ultras with the stock fronts.

What's the preference for fins out West?

Ok, so it does fine in the waves as well. 83L is the perfect all round one board quiver for me at 70 kg, went from a 4.4 to 4.0 to 3.6 all in one session, handled the on wave cross chop surprisingly well. Usually on the 4.8m in the bay. Much prefer it as a quad, well worth playing around with the fins.
