At the World Cup on Fuerteventura, Cedric Bordes sails with a "Severne Mega" slalom board.
I've never heard of this board, but it's already registered with the PWA. There is probably a 63 and a 73 board.

Yes, 63 & 73 registered.
Nothing on Severne's website or Facebook page.
Nothing on Severne UK shops website I can find.
Makes me wonder if they have actually made any for sale to the general public.
Anyone seen one in the flesh yet?

Just 1 hit from google, from April 14th. Available for ordering now with the board shipment arriving August

All that video showed us was Cedric has his boards (pun intended)

Im wondering if Ben Proffitt had a look in his Defi walkabout. Just looking at the board on a wall listening to marketing spin without showing us the bottom shape is a waste of time.

No, he doesn't cover Severne as they are not sponsoring his channel.

I'm sure more details will be released soon and the current event will tell how the board performs. Guess it was a matter of time before they launch their own slalom board.

The boards are listed as registered on the PWA website so I'm sure they comply. I can't find the details on their website but I believe there is a minimum quantity that they must produce which gives you a manufacturer certificate. Those quantities will generally mean the gear is commercially available and guess Severne are still distributing the gear.

So it is a VECTOR now, not MEGA. Maybe it resembled too much to MAGA ????

So the new Severne slalom board for 2026 is the Vector, and the racing sail is the Mega?
No doubt Antoine Albeau will also soon have a signature speed sail, in the Severne brand.

I've no idea of course, because the products are not yet launched.

What we do know is that most manufacturers used to launch next year's gear sometime in the late European summer, like about now, and for example, Duotone have already launched their updated wave boards.
I'd like to think we'll get a new wave board from Severne for 2026, but I suspect they will launch wingfoiiing gear first, to keep up with that developing market.

We have to wonder which brands are concentrating on developing windsurf gear at this time, in any discipline. Probably not many.
Sometimes I wonder if I should stockpile the windsurfing gear I like - just in case one day it's no longer available.

Here in the UK, the second hand market has collapsed, because everyone is taking up wing foiling as a light wind sport. And that's the truth of it. The weird thing, is that we're also having a windy summer.

1000 Euro? 2025 model.
Pretty cheap. Would buy it locally at that price.

1000 Euro for a USED board. As its in France, I'd put 50p on it being Cedrics spare board/proto/pre-production, although the other prototype is at a different shop. Both shops in Marseille, Cedric's hometown. Cedric did develop the board.

Regarding the name, it is registered on the PWA site as Mega.

I think the vectors in the post above are just prototypes. They mention in the youtube vid link their first try at slalom boards were super fast but too technical, which I'm guessing is a reference to those vectors.

Sounds like the actual board we will get is the mega. See the mega name graphics on the slalom boards being talked about in the video.

Hehehehe, why would they get into the wing foiling market, I think that market is already saturated and it doesn't fit the Severne brand.

So what will it be called ? Mega or vector .I think vector sounds better..but personally I would just call it the severne 'slalom'or 'race' board .

pretty though...
Looking forward to some feedback on the performance and behaviour.
Severne is big on the comfort in chop, so this hopefully follows the suit.
