I feel I am qualified to answer this one. I have been on Severne since 2008, and freestyle in a lot of marginal wind at 6'7"/240#. 5.9m2 and 6.3m2 have been my most used sizes. They were introduced in 2009 on the S-1 as a freestyle specific sail. They had a couple of tube battens to give them stability and keep them as light as possible. The first Freeks in 2015,2016 were not very good in these sizes, but improved a lot in the 2017-2018 versions of the Freek. I currently am sailing the 2021 Freek ( I think this was designed for Amado) and I think 5.9m2 is all I need for anything under 20 mph. It has all the low end I need and depowers well for freestyle. If 5.9m2 is as big as I am going, I can't imagine there is much of a market for the 6.3 now.
