Dyno 125 review
Here are my notes on the Dyno 125...hope it helps if anyone is thinking about this new board.

Sail sizes 7.5, 6.4, 5.2
Single fin 38cm and thruster (weed + side fins)
5 sessions Lake Huron, onshore wavy, short period, big waves & 1 session in heavy chop/flatter water
180lbs, B+ sailor

Prior boards that it replaced...
Fanatic Blast 130
RRD Firemove 120
Tabou 3s 116

Planing
Not as early as Blast 130
Need to really bear off
Probably could use a slightly bigger single fin with 7.5
Very easy to stay on plane in waves/chop - doesn't slow it down very much (10/10)
Excellent in lulls (10/10)
Very easy to stay in straps in lulls (10/10)

Super 'easy' to sail
Awesome bump & Jump board
Board wants to jump
Has a very natural feel - length and stance in water
Upwind - ok but not as good as blast
Very comfortable in chop for its size (10/10)
Nose doesn't catch in chop like Blast 130 did
Sails like Tabou 3s but has more power in the tail (better in lulls)
Love the thruster fin setup (really helps with shorebreak as you can get going in the shallow water without worrying about hitting a sandbar)
Max Sail range guess 5.2 - 8.5 / Comfortable range 5.5-8.0

Feels smaller than 125l (uphaul & general sailing)

Jibing
Love the jibe
Easy initiation
I am not the best 'planing exit jiber' so no comment but does hold speed well through turn

Board
Looks awesome - it's red and we all know red is awesome
Didn't weigh but it feels 'normal weight' for its size
Love the nose protector - at first I didn't think I would want it, but I wacked the nose on a launched waterstart and was glad to have it - should be standard on all boards
Footstraps - very comfy but big
Fins - I am still waiting for the supplied thruster fins so no comment

Speed - sailing inboard straps only - not speedy

I am going to get a 95l version (pending spousal approval which is looking good!)

Love it 10/10; perfect board for my conditions, perfect great lakes, short period, big windswell, nasty shorebreak, b&j board. Very comfortable & easy to sail.

I'm 222 pounds and uses a Jp FSW 110 now. I'd like a little bit more volume to be able to "float" out to the spots and then be able to waveride. Do you think the board is "slow" / feels big in waves ? br Martin

I tried a friend's Dyno 125 L for a few runs. Not enough to really get a good idea of what it's capable of. Plus the waves were tiny and wind was cross on shore. But I think the potential is there.

You could look at a 115 Quantum if you just want a bit more volume and more wave oriented board.

Hey Martin.
I have sailed the board a few more times and like it even more. 10/10. My conditions are big water bump and jump and it just excels in that environment.
It feels small in big water and sails through chop exceptionally well.
I don't have float and ride conditions so I can't really comment on that.
It's not a fast board (in thruster setup) but the speed feels decent.

It's exceptional at planing through lulls, rough water b&j, jibing, jumping.

Had my Dyno 125 out today in 14-15 knots in bump and jump/ small waveriding conditions. Just fantastic. Controllable, early planing and keeps planing in the lulls. A great acquisition. So fun to be able to push upwind easily then make the most of waveriding knowing getting back will be easy.
