I just read the reviews posted by Auswind.
Which one would be good for Perth/WA coast?
Which one has the biggest wind range?
Which one is the lightest?
Which one is the toughest?
Are these characteristics present in the one sail?
I'm after a wave sail with the biggest wind range, light and tough for Perth
I'd also consider other brands

S1 best sail i've ever had for performance, not the strongest though.

I haven't tried the other ones though. Nathan uses a 5.7 blade (06 i think)...he might be selling it soon IF his new simmers ever arrive?!?!?

The S1 is the lightest Wave sail in the range with the flattest foil. In my experience this suits fast rockerlines and modern style sailing with freestyle / wave cross over skills - takas, wave 360s , big aerials are all easiest with this super neutral feeling sail - basically its the best performance sail for the designed for the best sailors on the beach.

The S1 is the highest "performance" sail for the most perfect days - ie great here in WA.

If you are riding gusty un filled in east coast style seabreezes (with the exception of the Gerroa region) the deeper foils of the blade and Renegade may suit you better.

The S1 is not built to be the toughest on the market. If strength is an issue (usually progressing wavesailors learning how to time the lip) look to the full xply of the Renegade.

Personally i am a fan of the renegade which suits slightly heavier riders and can be rigged with some belly. I think the wind ranges on the sails are similar - its just that the Renegade and Blades go ealier due to the deeper foils while the S1 handles a bit more wind due to the flatter foil and nuetral handling. (but possibly gets going a little later in light wind)

One thing the renegade isnt is heavy - Severne have managed to make a full xply sail that is incredibly light. With many other brands you will find that the full xply versions tend to be quite heavy.

Scotty's Blade basically sits in the middle - ergomically it suits a hard rail driving style (getting power down low and into the rails for max gouging performance) while the Renegade has mid level ergonomics and the S1 suits high , light, weightless nuetral type radical freestyle / wave maneouvres (the biggest liftiest aerials, the highest jumps etc)
