Features: Fastest boards ever produced in windsurfing. Period

TT Tail stands for Toro tail
Wikipedia "Toro, a Spanish Fighting Bull"

I think there is definite evidence of Bull here

Nice looking boards though.

Interesting how the largest volume boards are the shortest.

If I am reading it correctly it is just another way of executing wingers, in fact I have some boards modelled in my computer with a really similar idea. The theory is sound, they should work on the bigger boards.

Yeah agreed Mark, bit of a big call

I do remember reading when the first X-Fire came out about 10 years ago (?) that it was fastest in the test by a long way.

Are they still?

What made me was the "no fin delivered" part. Hope the board is $200 cheaper as a result?

Bold claims indeed. Do you get it for free if you find a board that's faster.
IMHO I reckon the graphics aren't nearly as good as the previous two years although hard to tell without real photos.

Wow incredibly intricate cut-outs. Is this just being complex for complex sake or will it actually work (i.e the fastest boards ever - Period). Time will tell I suppose. I notice their winger concept is accentuated more than the iSonics.

PS - aesthetically they are quite pleasing in photos as opposed to earlier computer images.

(Fastest boards ever produced in windsurfing. Period).

Snags,

You may be taking this quote out of context, it might mean that Cobra simply bang them out qicker than other brands

So the old 102 has shrunk to 98....or has it grown to 105? There are a lot of sizes in the range now.

The 90 looks about the same as my V2 overall. I guess if you're on a good thing...

btw, RRD's haven't come with fins for a few years now.

C'mon Mr Kelf...you know you want one!

In my opinion the 98 is a better size for the river, but that means SFA.

I might try one when the 100L F2 SX Proto arrives & do a comparison

Personally I hate that scrubbed back, waiting for a spray job look.
Everything else about them seems great.

the Fanatic Skates this year are the same. My 109L is the biggest in the series and also the shortest by a few cm. Floats my boat and planes no worries - love my skate

The 105 has the same dimensions as the 102, but with an adjusted rocker line, but the 98 is a completely new board...and I'm looking forwards to getting one on the water.

As for the the promo blurb? For sure they're going to be controllable & fast, but I'm afraid that we'll have to wait a month for them to arrive to see just how fast!!
I know the boys back in Italy are super excited about their new tail...............

After having a few blasts on the new boards and sussing out the fin sizes, both the 105 and the 122 have tba on thier fin charts.
Even though I'm using weed fins on my boards, the sizes I would reccommend will probably work out the same.
On the 105, a 34 seems to be about optimal for both speed and grip. Whereas the 122 needs about 41 for powered conditions and about 46 for marginal.
Hoping this helps..
