My new Quatro 105 L power (229cm/64cm/23cm PB - MFC thruster set), has turned up. To be used with my 5.8/5.5 ezzy wave sails.
My Quatro 98 L cube (225cm/60.5 - MFC quad 350), use with 5.8/5.5/5.0/4.7 enzymes wave sail.
l love the quad, fast all around wave board, great in gusty cross off conditions, but wanted something faster, floater for summer NE, 15-25 knots.
Hopefully conditions down south this weekend for both ??.

NB - Can you share any thoughts on these two?

I'm (70kg) wondering about either:
Power 105 & Power 94
or
Power 105 & Cube 98/93

Waves here on the Great Lakes have a very short period so "get up and go" is important. We sail on the lee side of harbor piers which cleans up the waves and gets us more side-on and sideshore conditions. But still the best days' waves are only 4'-5'.

FreakDrew, at 70 kg I'd go the 95 L as I would think the 105 L would be too big. 5.3 sail to 4.2 would prob suit this size board better.
Not knowing your waves, if the waves a proper both onshore and side shore I'd go the cube, if it's more bump and jump weak waves I'd got the power. Both are awesome boards, the cube is a great all round wave board the power is a wavey freestyle wave type board. The benefit of the power is you can blast it with a big centre fin and out board straps, thus getting a 2 boards in one for your quiver ?, if that's of interest?

I kinda want to throw cold water on the "2 boards in one" marketing in the real world. Even when I've switched from thruster to single (not something I've done often), I've never bothered to change the foot straps. Which left the single fin experience not as freeride as it can be.

Broardhead, for small 1-3 ft onshore waves, it's awesome, I ride it with standards fins, 5.8/5.5/5.0 m. Jumps well, turns great for a FSW board.

philn - the straps are single screw and quick to change, if I'm running a big single 28 cm freewave style fin, 5.8 if is a great blasting board and jumping board with straps in the outboard set up. When I want gutless on shore wave mode, 3 fins back in and change the straps, takes same time as rigging a new sail. Awesome boards, well made, and look the business ??

NB - have you found the sail size ranges in the Quatro specs to be accurate?

The Power 94 says 4.2-6.0 and I'm wondering if my 70kg on a 5.8 on it sounds like a good pairing.

(looking to replace my very old SB Evo 92 that I ride with 5.8 & 5.3)

FreakDrew. At 94 L I'd say a 5.5 would be as big as you'd want. Just my 2 cents. At 70 kg that's should be enough to blast and wave sail, 14 knots and up !!
