Wondering if anyone's had the chance of sailing both the Patrick V3 slalom and the Isonic and how they compare. Eg speed, chop handling ability, gybing ability.
They both look similar in shape and cut outs, with isonic having a more pronounced recessed deck.

Yeah hi Tardy I'm looking for a 90-92L to replace my 2014 90L isonic.
The 2014 is a great board but very hard over chop, and I'm not sure if the newer style cut outs are better than the full cut out of the 2014,15 isonics.

ok..I've got the 92v2 2017 ,fantastic board goes like a rocket ,I think the v3 2018 is even better ..? they even made a 95 litre slightly wider .

I have used a 5.0 to a 7.0 on mine ,but it has to be blowing well for my weight ,96.5 kgs .but its a keeper ..mine maybe a little hard in chop
but still rides over it ok ..
had close to 36 knots on mine I'm sure it will do more ,sorry can't comment on the smaller isonic ,but i'm sure they would be pretty good too.

heres a vid I made a while ago ...you be the judge .. 26-8 knots of wind

Hard over chop? I found it helped to open the rear straps and ride the windward rail a little, on an iSonic 92L and 80L.

Nice! It is a small slalom for 96.5 Kg. I just ordered an AV Modena Slalom 88Lx60 but I am 70 Kg!

It does need a bit of wind for my weight ,but its seem quite floaty for its size ..and it is ok with a 7.0 .I tried it because I didn't believe it
and it s ok ..
berowne ,yes can be hard in the chop ,it was a on shore day ,and do ride a 100 litre board most times ..but getting on these small thin boards ,it just seems as though you are going so much faster .. and you can really sheet on an go..i got 36 knots on this day ..I just wish I had a better sail on the day ...but not bad for a 2008 north, natural free ride sail ..lol...I have brought some better sails this year ,now i think I'm a speed head .
