Hi!

I am looking into buying 2 new sails. There is a choice (more what i can afford of last year modells) between a 4.7 and 5.2 ice 2007 or a 2008 duke 5.4 instead of the 5.2

Anyone exoierience with them? I have sailed gaastra before and used the wrong mast for a bit which robbed me sometimes of the enjoyoment of sailing because the preassure point just went nuts on the backhand.

So i am looking into buying 2 sails of the same brand with a smae brand mast.

I also looke d at getting a severne S1 4.7 and 5.2 instead.

Would love to get some opinions. Anyone tried both?

Lot of questions i know. Hoping to get some feedback from ya guys.

Haven't sailed either but I reckon get the Severnes. Their mast curve fits with a lot of other sails, so you can use your powerex etc. mast.

If you buy a North and invest in their mast, then for whatever reason you decide to change to something else you're going to have to start over = $++

Not only that, but by buying Severne you're supporting an Aussie company.

Yeah but neil pryde is similar to North i thought. Once you have their gear you have to stick to it because the mast doesn't fit into anything else.
