Quick review of the claimed specs of the new North Power.XT Aero RDM 34 vs Power.XT RDM 36 (unfortunately I didn't have any other extensions to compare as well) ....

Aero RDM 34 - Claimed 530g - Actual 552g
RDM 36 - Claimed 690g - Actual 725g

Aero weight saving = 173g

The difference of approx 20-30g from claimed to actual must be the downhaul line which was included in my weight checks.

The Aero RDM 34 is filled with a foam tube (like a boom), whilst the standard RDM 36 is open.

Both have the identical Power.XT 2.0 base.

Price - Aero RDM 34 = $505 and the RDM 36 = $300

Summary = extra $205 to save 173g

Is it just me or is $505 a ridiculous amount of money for an extension

And heavy as well, from memory the Streamlined redline rdm are 550g max.
