Seriously tho I'd love to hear more about the new mistral slalom and speed so please share your experience as you finally get them wet. I'm considering saving my $ for a 90 slalom. The speed boards might be a bit advanced for me.

Best boards I have ever used. The finish on these things is the best i have ever seen. Very happy to have a few. Only used the 47 feels very stable an accelerates quick. Yet to get the 55 wet .

Are they the production boards or customs made to Lockwood's specs?? Cant see the colour of these ANYWHERE? There was a thread a while back talking about a distribution in Oz but it died, and seems to be the same in other countries???

i have the 90 sl prototype, all i can say is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
mines a bit heavy, but still performs great. The board feels and handles very small for it's size, i'm selling my 76 isonic as the 90 mistral is faster and has better control, on the other hand though it is completely different to most other 90 sl boards, it is a super high wind slalom board, handles chop swell and insane conditions amazingly, stupidly fast in crap conditions

ideal fins that i use are a carbon 34 pointer with 7.0 and then the 6.2 when it's a bit lighter, as the wind comes in i swap to a 30 g10 pointer with the 6.2, 5.6 and 5.0 and as for weedies i've only used a couple but anything between 31 and 24 seems to work well, my fav combo would have to be 5.0, 90 mistral sl and 30 g10 pointer

like this board so much that i have a 68 on the way which from what i can tell is a bit better all round slalom board

just had some live skype video link up from down at the pit. seems that the big 137L slalom left a plume of chemtrails as it smoked down the course for perhaps a 41 knot 10 second run.

wonder what the 47 did there on its maiden vogage?

Damn straight! the 137 is a beast!! I had the new 2013 Koncept 5.4 and Ka23 fin onboard to make it happen, These boards are fast and eat chop, awesome!!! it pulls a mean gybe too, like the 47.

First run on the 47 had us peak over 48 in less than ideal conditions... days write up... gpsteamchallenge.com.au/sailor_session/show?date=2012-09-08&team=16

Mistral 137L 82wide Slalom, Doppler:- peak 42.5, 2sec 42.48, 10sec 41.07, 5x10 38.82.

Mistral 73L 47wide Speed, Doppler:- peak 48.11, 2sec 47.83, 10sec 46.05, 5x10 44.45

Ha ha those Geo Engineering Chemtrails, maybe they will fix the dunes??.. going by the doco "Why in the world are they spraying"

That's an amazing speed for a big board. And for less than ideal conditons too.
Looking forward to see what will come from top conditions.
Well done Slowboat, Spotty and KA.

Actually got to meet up with Anders last week, knew him from his time in WA.
Saw the whole range of boards incl. SUPs, they all look sweet. AB was saying these speed boards are the fastest & easiest to ride speed boards he's ridden at pace in a long time, I reckon he would know. A credit to Anders & his new venture at Mistral
