A couple of sessions on the 7.7 in light and moderate breeze. As from previous years, small increment mods that make the whole experience easier. This year the main objective was to increase bottom end especially on the larger (7.0 and up) sizes. They have indeed delivered by replacing the bottom rod batten by a tube as all other battens, creating a deeper profile more locked in around the boom area.
The other aspect that I noticed was a more reactive, balanced leech up top with still enough twist to depower when needed. This helps keep board trim correct and concentrate on chop and where to go.
