I currently have a JP Freeride 99L about 1999 model and want to upgrade to more bouyancy for quieter days plus the excitement of good days, ie. all round board plus the ability for chop hops etc. I am 59 years and 72kgs.

After lots of looking I think the JP Xcite 110L is ideal but don't have the budget for a new board, and none available 2nd hand. 2009 models not avail in Qld.

Any other options for board types around the 110 range that will provide good speed and a lot of fun as well as handle chop ok without the knee jarring that I see often with other baords?

JP Xcite Ride Definitely a great board, ridden them and just do everything well. Staboard Carves are a goody, Tabou Rockets another one.

I've got a '08 101 futura, next best thing to a X-cite I reckon and wider too for us woobly old blokes

He say's local pick up - but if he really wants to sell it he should go the extra yards.

You'll be happy with the JP110L excite, plenty of float at your 72kg's. I'm 85kg and can uphaul a 7.5 on my jp110, its not fun but doable when the wind drops.

Definitely take a look at the Starboard Kode. You can set this board up with single back strap and inboard front for fun carvy/jumping stuff, or move the straps outboard to enjoy some speed. This board has more rocker and V than a futura, so gives a smoother/easier/more comfortable ride. Not quite as fast as a futura, but gives a wider range of use....

Looking at the interstate boards for sale in Seabreeze but the hassel of me organising packing & transporting (plus cost) is putting me off.
