Just picked up a new 06 Super X PE. First good point is that it came in .2kg under weight at 5.2kg. At 239 * 56.5 it looks small and tail looks thin and narrow for this type of board. Had the first brief sail in gusty winds 20-30 kts with lulls and peaks 15-35kts. Using a 5.3m wave sail the board was quite quick and showed no signs of topping out. Rode nicely off the fin just skimming across the chop, real smooth. The gybes were quite effortless and kept good speed in the turn despite my technique. Board felt very stiff. I did get the nose lifting in a a couple of the gusts, probably due to the light weight and the need for some tuning. Can't wait to try it on racier sail and the GPS.
