I had the pleasure of the 104L JP Slalom IV to play with on the weekend, and I find myself at a loss for words to describe how good I found this board.

The sessions I had on the weekend were not ideal for it as we were a bit underdone for power, but what I did have was mind blowing right from the first launch from the beach.

I ran the board with my 6.7 RS4 and a 36cm JP freeride G10 weedfin in SE and Easterly breezes 15-23knots (crap gutless wind direction).

Couple of pumps and it's on the plane, Then it's just lean back and enjoy the ride.

It just glides over the chop better than anything I have ridden previously including freeride and wave kit.

Jibing was a dream, going for a 1hr made 26 jibes out of 27 (stunned disbelief).

I only wish there was more wind as I was now where near the potential of board.

If I could wrangle it with the Missus, I would trade in my beloved SX in a minute.

I had a brief ride on it in under-powered conditions, and it definitely had a sweet feel to it, would like to add it to my quiver!!!

Very lively compared to my narrow boards, and was consistently 1.5 knots quicker than my normal rig. Couldn't believe how light the board is! Very fast, like it a lot

So its a relatively easy board to sail?

Was it the normal or the pro edition and what sort of price are they selling for?

The easiest out of all the boards I've ridden to date.

Pro, I think thats the only version the have.

Have no idea, don't want to know, the voices in my head are already conspiring together to get me in trouble.

I had one for a week and got to sail it a bit too.
Unfortunately it was in even less wind than you but it sure did impress me with its planing prowess and how easy it was to slog around on.
I used a NP RS racing 7.8 with a 38cm JP fin. Im not light at the moment and it popped onto the plane quite easily and kept gliding.
When I finally did get a decent gust the board just accelerates great and just wants to keep going faster.
I got a gust and just pushed it as far deep as I could and the thing just hammered over the back of chop and didnt even look like digging in.
Same as Elmo I loved gybing the thing even with a big rig.
When the wind dropped off if had enough float to get back to the beach.
Anyone looking for an out of the box slalom/race board grab a ride.

I haven't tried the 68 yet but the 60 is equally amazing so if you can get a go on that one do it.

Best gybing and chop eating board I've ever used with plenty of speed to burn.

Weight without straps and fin was 4.9kg in Pro Edition construction which is all they do.
