JP just launched their 2012 product range via their web site at jp-australia.com/ .

Interesting to see that they merged the Kauli / Jason product line into a single line. I am guessing having two different quad lines confused the market to much and didn't sell a great deal more boards.

I think the two most interesting boards in the line up are the 92 /82 FSW which now comes with a thruster setup and the new 106 Single Thruster. Apparently the smaller Single Thruster boards (92 and smaller) where reshaped and brought in line with the 99. The 99 is unchanged and the 106 is in response to people telling JP management they want to see bigger wave boards.

I think especially the 99 / 106 Thrusters are great news and add to a growing field of wave board options for bigger riders, a market segment that had been overlooked by board companies for years.

I need to get my hands on a 106 to see if it performs as well as a 99 Single Thruster.

The dominance of JP in the PWA Slalom Tour is pretty stunning:
Antoine Albeau FRA 192 has again won the title already before the final tour stop in Sylt.

Really?

Am I missing something? Or is this from last year?

JP Slaloms are released late september/ early October.

Check out the 2012 JP board bags for an indication of the Slalom VIII's sizing.

I dont think the smallest slalom is listed...

The stats are elsewhere on the web but this is on the official site.

I wonder how you choose between the FSW 92 and Single Thruster 92? Trying to figure out which would be the best onshore wave board.

Those boards on the JP website are the 2011 boards Antoine won on in 2010. Still hasn't been updated to the 2012 stuff witch will be released soon and probably wont have that on it then.

Yeah right!!!! Many people say at this point that it was an error from his part to bring his girlsfriend on the tour. Not because she is not a great person, but because he was always tired. ;)

I think JP/NP need a new graphic designer! I think you can make sails/boards look really cool without using colour schemes and designs that make them look like their off a float from the mardi gras But each to their own.

I think similarly to Fanatic they take a lot of their inspiration from the European fashion markets. I guess it makes sense since the majority of their products will be sold in those markets. That said, I think the Pryde colors in particular translate very poorly into print for some strange reason. The sails look a lot better in real life then they do in the print adds.

Or ir may be because they decided that there was not really a point in making it without Richard Greene - he was there each year pretty much just to make the Polakow board (or whatever the board was called at the time).
