I'm looking for some reviews / feedback on the Gun Sails Seal 5.7 from 2022

This is one of the sails I am considering for waveriding / bump & jump.Others are a Severne Blade 5.7 or a Ezzy Wave 5.8.The Gun is cheap compared to the others. I had a couple of Gun Sails in the past and they are well made.

Some magazines did some reviews and they are pretty good. Both reviews are of the 4.5.
The 5.7 with 4 battens can be not stiff enough?

I have a 5,3 Gunsails Seal 2021 and my wife has several Severne Blade. I can recommend the Gun sails Seal, because it's very close to Blade's performance, plannin, wind range, manoeuvrability and the weight is similar. The main difference is that the Seal is a little bit shorter and you can buy a new seal at the same price of a second hand Blade.

I'm a 25 year experience not too skilled wave sailor so I'm sure there will be some very technical and skilled guys who could disagree, but for my level I would go for the Seal because I don't see a reason to spend much more money on the Blade, and I like it very much too. The results of both sails at Windmag 2021 tests were similar.

Yeah fully agree that my at level I am not squeezing out the max performance of any sail so in the end it doesn't matter that much

I found a second hand 2019 blade for 250 and went for it but it's had its best years but good for a couple of seasons.
Good to know for a possible upgrade
