Need new boards and some advice would be appreciated.

Something that is capable of speeds over 30 knots. Sizes around 110L for 25knts+ and something over 140L for everything else.

Had a Futura 101L and liked it a lot, but didn't use it much on the account of my weight - required strong winds. Needed the next size up...
So a Futura is a candidate for both sizes but not much on offer at the moment, but what else provides similar performance?

Tried recently Rocket Wide and didn't really work for me. Had to let it go. Need a bit longer and a bit less wide bard.
All the new boars re trending wide and short, so nto the 2016 model...

Appreciate your advice....

The Patrik 120 litre free-race and a 107 carbon sonic.

The 120 litre Patrik is only around 70 cm wide but is a bit longer at around 240cm.

Felt real good when Steve let me try it out,and very fast. Feels a lot more floaty than the 107.

How about the 2011 118 JP Supersport?

Specs say it is 69 wide by 249 long sail sizes 6.7-8.2 and would work with the Powerbox fins that you have.

Mistral 137 and Mistral 112

The plan is to buy 3 boards (Tabou 3S 104-106 already been decided upon as an ocean board) so I'm trying to keep them under $1000 where possible.

Lao, that Supersport 118 seems good. The size, the sail range...
I saw it, but wasn't sure of characteristics. With your advice, I may pay Reg a visit tomorrow to inspect it. Thanks. That may be one of them resolved...

Thanks John, I was lucky enough to try 137L (courtesy of Azymuth). Found it hard to get going, although quite nice once it did. Didn't quite suit me.

2nd Wind have a Patrick 135 L too. May read up on that too.

I had a 135 Patrik, and I'm a big fan of PD boards..... but the 135... not so much, sold it to get the 128.

The 135 was a pig to jibe and wasn't that fast.

Good choice, I had the 118 and it was never a slouch compared to most slalom boards.

I think it has a lot of potential, but it is too early to say as I only managed two sessions.

One underpowered session on the river. Still managed 28 knots in 13-15 knots winds on 7.5m.

One overpowered ocean session (7m sail in 25 knots of wind) was too scary as the board felt too fast for the conditions.
The board feels very fast but is not built for Pinnaroo chop.
Had a stack at 25 knots and went home after 5 km distance.

Very hopeful for a nice river session this weekend.

Aus 1111 let me try out his new 2016 Tabou Manta 106 litre and new Warp.

At 66 cm wide it feels more old school to sail than my overly wide Sonic 107.

Was hugely impressed by its smoothness which usually translates into exceptional top end.

Powered up,sailing square to off the wind the 106 Manta felt easily faster.

Easily the smoothest board I've ever ridden around this size. Not a board that slaps the chop!

Downside,did find it much harder to go upwind though and slower too.

The footstrap comfort level on the Manta is not as good---- its harder to get as much leverage over the rail as with the Sonic.

Those backfoot pads that thicken near the toe area is a great idea by Starboard. It stops your foot from sliding in too far.
