Had a go on the new Fanatics at the weekend, and was impressed!

See blog for a non scientific, punters review:

PS
I tried the larger Fanatic quad 101 last year (that remains this year) that a few on here rave about, and im not sure i got it dialed or used it in the right conditions as for me it just felt too grippy - like almost all the quads ive tried (ive spent too many years on the twinzers)..but this years 89 felt real good on first impressions!

Hi Northy,

Nice review. I've also been a happy user of Mistral Twinzers for the last 5 years, and so can relate to your comments very well. It was surprising to me how similar your conclusions were to mine in my review of the Goya 118 (www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Review/Goya-118-Quad/), esp re the grippy nature of quads. Looks like the new quads seem to have addressed the 'dead feeling' you raise because like you, I also found the Goya to be plenty lively enough.

Cheers, Jens
