Purchased one of these a month or so back. Today was first time I had a chance to actually try it out.
In a word "Beeaaudfulll" warm as with it on, and when I hit the drink, which happens to me a lot, still nice and warm.
If you haven’t got one, do as old Molly always said "Do yourself a favour" and get one.
If the wet suit is anything like this, I want one!

couldn't agree with you more mineral1. sailed ALL summer in just boardies and blastshield and felt warm and toasty every session even though I spend heaps of time in the water like you. great for surfing too. it's ALL good...good quality, good price, good logo...

I bought a Blastshield a few weeks back, not really knowing much about WindWarrior (and I'm not much of a brand/label bloke, much to my chic's disapproval). As "Bang For Your Buck" goes this baby could be the giant killer of the wet-clothing range for water action. I wear mine for pretty much everything (windsurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, and snorkelling) - it keeps my upperbody much warmer than I thought it would, even a cold wind doesn't worry me. It will be good to see what else these guys bring out. Cheers

Check out their website http://www.windwarrior.com.au/ where you will find the info on where to buy. I bought over the net and their sevice was excellent. I got the Inferno and the Blastshield. They are both very good indeed. Using the Blastshield underneath my steamer or springsuit when its cold and by itself when its warm and the Inferno in between. You wont need anything else for summer sailing...Ehh apart from boardies that is...

I bought my Blastshield from Rik in Geraldton who gave it a huge wrap then bought one of their polyprop rashies (Inferno) from their site. I'm stoked with both. The guys even followed it up for some feedback from my web purchase which was a nice touch. I have not seen a Radiators but seeing as the WindWarrior gear is designed for windsurfing & kitesurfing the Blastshield leaves my old rashy top for dead.

Yep different to radiator and roaster, they're both lycra based, the blastshield is actually thin wetsuit material, but the silver linning is similar

Used this a few times now, and have to say without a doubt...
I tell you, the blast shield, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF............... brilliant.
Was out in the storm front two Tuesdays back, wife reckons I am nuts, in weather like that, but if so "warm and nuts.
Was able to stay out til I cramped up in legs (Winter none conditioned)
Every now and then you buy something that is just exactly as the manufacture touts that it is.
These blast shield are one of those items.

Booties help stop the leg cramps. Not the easiest for getting in/out of straps but worth it imho.

I always wear a gath in winter too, if for no other reason, for warmth. On the day I forgot to wear it on the estuary in Australind (water's a few deg colder than the sea) in a howler I came ashore and was having trouble speaking. Then I realised my jaw was locking up

Yer amen to this.
thank god for this top life saver lol. I was body boarding over at straddie after skool and every one is in full length steamers and i am happy as larry in boardies and a top. sooo good and comfortable aswell 10/10. I can't wait for the wetties they are bringing out. though if they are this warm u might cook. Its all good. well done.
They are also very stylish like the colours they use and the logo are better looking then most of the popular surfig brands.

good to see an ausy company kickin ass.
