I'm thinking about trying a used one one 2012 just to give it a go. Haven't used a gaastra sail for about 15 years.

Anyone had withe the recent models around 7m. Do they rotate well, good range? , is it a high tension sail? Does it need massive DH. Any known issues.

From what I've heard locally they really need the right mast (hard top).... not so many on the water around here....

I once bought the 2011 vapor, was a real pain to rig, very stiff !!! ended up giving it away...

I have the 2012 vapors , 8.6 downwards.
They have a really nice balanced feel with a super high wind range . Rotation i have never had an issue with those that have tried mine have never complained or not liked it.
I have had my best results on my 7.9 with 98ltr manta , started carrying it out to 20+knts towards the end of last year(98kg driver on swan river), Ive become super comfortable on it .
If you follow the online rigging guide/video they are super easy to rig.

You should contact Adrian at Southside sailboards seeing as you live in NSW. He retails uses, and sells Vapors, so he might have a demo rig.

Good cheap sail, the owner only used it for half a season before he started a family,
