Dp you have room for storage? Do you get a lot of days in the 20-25 range, with higher gusts? If so, then for sure, buy the Naish. Otherwise, you're spending the very best days, when that 110 should be really working, struggling with being overpowered on the 6.5 Ezzy. There's going to be some overlap with ANY two sail sizes, if you define overlap as days when you aren't sure which to rig. You'd have days like that even with a gap 5.0-6.5, which is definitely too big a spread. At the smaller end of the range gaps can be smaller - 4.7/5.2/5.8/6.5/7.8 would make good sense for a one-board quiver for instance.
I have a 3.7
i have a 7.3
explain the overlap
ahh any 2 sail sizes what ?
Just that for any gap in sizes, there will be some windspeed for which you can't decide which to rig (It's also probably the most usual windspeed at your favorite spot, but that's another story.) For instance, let's say you have that Cheetah 6.5 and a 5.0 wavesail and that's it. If your life is anything like mine, when you get to the beach it'll be blowing 18 but with frequent gusts around 28-30. You can rig the 6.5 for the lulls or the 5.0 so you don't get killed in the gusts.
I'm currently using a foil to sidestep the whole problem - if it's not windy enough for a 7.0 and a fin I'll put a foil on and sail the 7.0 anyway.
This is what I call what you have written is :: the way the is.
but you didn't tell me the overlap, instead you can't decide which to rig
it's always , or near always a compromise, if it were dead easy it would be kiter boarding.
a better scenario for the OP would be a smaller smaller than a 5.8m, at that point his board starts to become too large. So a minimalist, quiver of board and sails, will always have a compromise.
