Anyone got an more details on the 120l Severne Nuevo?

Especially interested how it performs compared to other big wave boards like the 118 Goya Quad... love that board but it's almost a bit on the too wavy side. Meaning it's bloody hard to get on the plane on they way out.

Will shops stock them or do you have to order them in? Any pricing yet?

The Nuevo 120 is the same board that was available last season in the Starboard range. With the Nuevo being Ben's unofficial signature model, it was the logical step to continue the range under the SV banner.

As you've long pointed out, large wave boards are not well supported by the industry, and the Nuevo's in the bigger sizes are one of the few proven shapes available.

You'll notice that the 120 is quite a bit longer than the 110. Being 240cm the rocker and outline are quite drawn out, while the volume distribution and rail shape are all very consistent with the rest of the range.

They won't be available for a few months, and being such a specialized board not every shop will have a 120 on the shelf.

yea I've ridden both and they both have there advantages.

the goya is very quick to plain and very fast. the bottom turn is very drawn out. where as the nuevo is very nice at turning on the waves. i felt i could always get to where i wanted to on the wave with the 120 nuevo and it really felt like i was surfing a board way smaller. very predictable release. and you can rail them very hard to.

both good options. and as for east coast sailing. i sail at least 60% more with the 120 nuevo in my quiver. get yourself a big wave board you won't regret it

at last managed to get hold of a 2nd hand Nuevo 120 (starboard version) as my niche light wind wave board....any suggestions for fins, base, strap positioning??
