Just found a link to a product catalogue of the 2015 Goya sail range.

The new 3 batten wave sail is called the Fringe Pro and comes in sizes 5.3 down to 3.0.

I've just ordered a 5.3 fringe for September delivery, At $850 (early bird price) it's a bargin compared to most of the other brands. I'll let you guys know how it goes when I get it. If the performance of the Banzai range is anything to go by the 5.3 fringe is going to be my sail for the summer at Gerroa.

If you see me out there and want to try the fringe or the banzai just sing out....But you must give them back

I ordered a Goya Quad "early bird" last year for a very good price as well.The only thing I don't like about the Fringe just looking at the specs is the need to have several masts. Would be interested to hear what the weight is. Any chance you can throw it onto some scales once you get it?In my opinion the king of the hill when it comes to weight is the Severne S1. Will be interesting to see where they go next season. I wouldn't be surprised if the S1 goes 3 battens and the Blade get's a weight reduction. Also, wondering if any manufacturer will be coming out with an ultra light weight mast. There have been rumours floating around about a 400cm 1.1 kg carbon wave mast.

A few things I'm hearing about Severne for 2015 are as follows.

1. The S1 will be lighter yet again but expect it to be very costly...Race sail price I'm hearing.

2. They will have a 3 batten sail....The S3.

May all be internet speculation but we'll see.

Really? Do you mean $1400 range? Surely not.I can't see how they would be shifting too many units at that price. Let's not forget it's a wave sail and we all know how quickly you can re-shape your gear so it fits in the boot on the way to the tip.

BTW, why is Severne the only company these days that states the weight of their sails on their web site?

Annoying I know when trying to compare products but Avanti does as well.

Things on the grapevine that is all...There may very well be an S1 and an S1 pro.....Maybe?

sorry mean the S3 with three battens...
