i know all the new 2020 boards are out ..and looking good
just thought I'D post a few thoughts on a couple of boards i have for people choosing a light air board .who are thinking of a seeded models ,
I just brought this secondhand 124 litre 2016 isonic starboard ,and not regretting it ,i love the way it gets up on the tail and screams
down wind .

The wind was 12,8 knots to 14,5 knots ,so 8,5 is my biggest sail ,so i first went out on the 124 ,I planed some times in the gusts ,it has a fair bit more rocker than the 140 Patrik so needed the gusts to get going ..so i was a bit heavy at 98 kgs ,so went in and changed to the Patrik .
what a light air machine ,straight up on the plane and never stopped ..it surely is the volume that made the difference ,i had a 44 gun fin ,
i find you have to have the mast track almost right back on the Patrik as tacking it can sink and it does bury the nose a bit ,as the volume seem s to be right at the rear .
I kinda felt guilty buying the isonic ,but couldn't resist having a second light winder ..amazed how well the isonic gybe .
Both great boards .
anyway it was a great day on the water ...i got a 8,6 SCR simmer on the way ,hope to get more grunt out of a 4 cam sail .and increase my top speed ...even though the cheetah is so easy to use and up haul ,4 year old now ,
