Hello all, looking to buy a 100% carbon mast for a race rig . I am returning to the sport after an absence of several years and am looking for some advice on what brands to look at.
For the life of me I cannot remember the brand I used to have on my K.A 8.5 Formula but had no problems with it.
I am after a 490/ 29 IMCS mast.

with modern race sails best to get the compatable mast for best performance.
some sails are not that mast fussy but others just dont work unless you have the right mast.

When buying a particular brand sail you should buy the correct mast also. Every sail is made to be rigged on their specified mast bend curve is so crusial l tryed using a pryde mast on a north sail & it snaped not to mention a rip in the luff.nowadays I buy both sail&mast.
