Got my first sail on the 08 real world wave yesterday, 25kt cross on and head high surf. I was incredibly surprised to see how well it went riding frontside in cross on, carries plenty of speed through the whole bottom turn without dogging in the latter part of the turn like alot of boards tend to do. Backside was lively and fast with plenty of pop off the lip with the wider tail. Planed early, felt felt lively under the feet. Highly recomended for anyone who wants an all round waveboard on a specialised on shore board.
Cant wait to try the Pro Wave!!

What about Goya gear? Better than JP?

mey mate,
it was the 74lt ( I weigh about 74 now ) up wind it went well, I mean I wasnt on course race but it got be back up wind with out any dramas, and I had the fin pretty far foward too. Moving the fin back would get you further if thats what your after.
Through the chop was sweet, I guess as its a little shorter and manouverable I could thread a course through the chop easy, Bondi gets pretty choppy too on the outside. I think the best thing was how loose it was on the wave, especially frontside, heaps of drive through the bottom turn.
But all in all I rate it well, tell you how it goes down the line after the weekend (fingers crossed haha)
