you might be better off up there or cairns or port Douglas - little wind or sailing in SE Qld over winter - $A is strong, there will be few tourists & aussies are all going overseas this winter - might be better off in fiji or bali or somewhere cheaper to live?

SERIOUSLY THOUGH THE PERSON LOOKING FOR A JOB WILL NEED TO BE MORE OPEN TO OTHER JOBS ALSO, SAY THE WHALE WATCHING BOATS, JETSKI HIRE, LOCAL SURF SHOPS,SAILING, I JUST DONT THINK THERE COULD BE A FULL TIME WINDSURFING TEACHERS JOB ON THE COAST THIS TIME OF YEAR, PROBABLY NOT EVEN IN SUMMER. HOWEVER THERE MAYBE SEVERAL PART TIME JOBS IN WATERSPORTS..................NOW WE HAVE ALL CHECKED OUT THE PROFILE SO ANY LOCALS WHO CAN HELP. HELP!

It gets windy in the north of Queensland during winter, but there are probably not many windsurfing spots about. There are a few kiting outfits, so it might be an option to teach kiting.

These guys are in Mackay, so you could ask them for advice:

There are also kiting schools in Cairns, so that might be another option.

I suspect that these places also do windsurfing, but it seems there are many more kiters around and the conditions are probably better for kiting in that there are shallow water spots.
