need advise when swell low what beaches ie. currumbin, wind direction work best for sailing

Currumbin works most often on a northerly in spring and summer. It works best on a southerly swell and SE wind with emphasis on the E, but it does not do that very often. When it does , it's great, but it's almost a calendar event.
Kirra is good on NW.
Train on northerlies.
Shearwater on southerlies.
Most spots are not too tide-sensitive, though tide will always affect water depth, water state and whether you will get swept out to sea if you break something or the wind dies.

I found it a valuable exercise to look at the orientation of all the beaches on Google MAps/Earth, as they don't always face due east. All those nooks and crannies in the Oz coastline create a multitude of beach orientation, and that is what really affects things most. Landforms and buildings have a huge effect too, mostly blocking wind, but sometimes creating a funnelling effect, very relevant at the Train and Shearwater.
