Familia day today at Byron Bay. Seeya at Queen Victoria Point, long live the queen.

Was thinking Byron could make a great location for an ocean race event, plenty of (interesting) accommodation, vantage points etc.:

Yeah Byron's a nice spot. Not unlike Mooloolaba but more room and better swell.

Plenty of sharks too Panda, see that dark line in the water, that would be the continental shelf.

One huge big drop off into very deep water that attracts big sharks like flies to honey.

Swoosh, Sunday may be the better day for Currumbin. The swell forecast is for it to get to 3ft on Saturday and 5+ft on Sunday.

yeah i think sunday would be the better day, but i'm only new to waves, so the smaller swell will suit me perfect.

gonna try and get there early. the crowds down on the gold coast have been insane the past week.
