HC time to prostrate yourself in front of the wind gods.
Grovel and tug your forelock, failing that crack a cask of red and get wasted.

Thinkin of heading down to GC and trying out Quota Park.
It could be easier parking and looks ok for a NE with about a 1km run.

Just wondering if anyone has sailed here in a NE

I have seen a few boats in the channel at times seeking shelter when the wind is from the south. In a northerly they would probably seek shelter somewhere else allowing you to sail to wave break island without dodging anchor chains etc.

it's great on ne and dead flat water. i sailed there a few days ago and almost all the boats had gone and plenty of space

for the angle your showing, to get close to the bank u need small fin until 1/2 tide or more. otherwise it's barely shin deep

you can just rig at oatland esplanade and sail over. it's quite easy to get back

Ended up goin to the GC and sailin @ kfc today for the first time.

It seems to be a popular family spot with all the amenities incl BBQ and
will definately sail there again when the Shearwater tide is goin the wrong way,
just got to get a car park.

Bernie and I and a couple of Briso guys used to sail that run in the mid 90s but there were very few moored boats. There was a marker at the entrance of Loders Creek to gybe and a great run up and down the sand bar. ahhhh memories.
