you know it almost happened. there was a speed board on ebay about 6 months ago that I had a go at winning. martin paid a princely sum for it and I bailed a few hundred before him. it turned out to be a lemon so he asked for a refund.
I got the sup instead of a longboard. I still miss my formula board so maybe one day i'll get another formula board. who knows......
the racing at burrum seemed like it was a big success. the guys setting the courses did a fantastic job. next year it's on again so fingers crossed more raceboard guys take the plunge. all report are that we will have a bigger one design fleet next year as well. again it will most likely be the windsurfer state titles venue.
I was a little worried leading into the comp that the large tide variances would end up catching us out. that turned out to be not the case. as a venue it was excellent. racing right off the beach in front of the spectators and local families.
anyways, we will see what next year brings. there are a few of us fully committed to course racing staying on the calendar and growing. it seems there may also be the opportunity to hold a national title there at some point.
long and short of it, i highly recommend it for you guys next year. it was a lot of fun this year.

Hi Steve, Yes, I think I did see you. Can you make it out for a late sail on Sat or Sun arvo? ...light wind training. I need it!
Gestalt, it would be great to see you on a Longy too. Again, sorry it didn't make it up to Burrum. Next year!!
