had a super fun sail today in cross shore head high (rainy) bliss!

full power 5.4 and 87 quad, some great down the line wavesailing... nailed a few good aerials off the lip and landed clean out in front of the wave! sweeet!

i'm beginning to like that spot!

where are you launching from, Mudjimba or further south?

the north shore car park, drive along the coast south from mudjimba then take first left, then keep going til the car park ( you can't miss it, it's a dead end!)

Sounds good bowsa, Mudjimba is probably the most consistent of the spots for southerly's on the sunny coast if you don't mind dealing with beach breaks at least you get good clean wind. Was hoping to get down there on Sunday but the rain came through & killed the wind...same deal yesterday . Of course today it's on but so is work...the swell is up though so the Caloundra Bar or Neil St probably would have been the go if the wind cam round to the SE. It was still howling from the south when I left home this morning.

Yeah i sail mudjimba occasionally. Used to sail there loads but now normally sail neill st.

I checked mudjimba but it was too offshore, so went round a bit to north shore. Nice banks there at the moment with a few right out the back so you can get waves without being caught in the shorey.

Bowsa, everytime I see your post for Epic Nth Shore I am away!
Went down today, like last time it was sucide!
Let us know when you think its best to go again, or is it simply a case of getting the first day of the blow before the swell and sweep gets too crazy?

Are your B&W pics of sailing the spot?, one of them (with the nice swell line up) does look epic..

May have to swap the flat water gear back to wave..

Do you ever sail Coolum, or Sunnrise?

Yeah those pics are from that crazy Monday a few weeks ago. Yeah it's good to get it on the first day as you say so it's not so crazy. I sail neill st a lot. It can hold the swell the best and on the right tides it has a great wave out at reef. I also sail beachmere a lot, it's a wicked jumping spot and good for freestyle too.

Yeah get the wave gear out!
