hey guys, a few of you showed interest the other day at the WW meet about Beachmere for sailing. All signs are looking for a good session tomorrow, and the tide isnt getting very low so should be great all day if the rain stays away. Anyway, its always good to have a decent crew of sailors, so join us!

Sounds good I was trying to work out where to go and that sounds sweet to me. Less floaty things to bump into compared to the rest of Moreton I would guess too. Where do you launch from?

Yep, it's going to be great there today, perfect setup. We usually rig at Philip st, which is north from the main park/town area. Grassy area so pretty nice spot.

Anyway, if anyone can't decide where to go today, mix it up a little, chuck in your jumping board and come!!!

Top spot; looking forward to lots more trips; although it was only about 45mins up; loved the open beach, beaut waves and was so smooth for playing on. Good time had by all.

Agreed... even though most of the day was spent in the ER

what an awesome session! 4.7 full power on the 84ltr waveboard - loads of fun.

Doodah - terrible stroke of luck hurting your foot on that double forward... you really shouldnt do them so high!

Great to see some new faces up there - first time we have been up for a while and just reminded us how much fun that spot actually is.

Anyway, glad you all like it and it turned on the conditions for you as well!

Yeah, I had a good blast for an hour.

Should hit up beachmere more often

sounds like a good bump n jump location, keen to try it out one day, whats the lowest tide that it works on. is it any good in moderate wind as we don't get many strong days lately.

Hey lungs, it works on all tides, just a bit less of a walk on higher tides is all. It works fine on moderate wind, I would say S/SE is the best direction but actually picks up everything from NE to S. Basically is cross on juming on starboard for as long a run as you want (ramps getting bigger as you go out) and backside riding on the way back in. It's a killer spot on a good SE, and honestly you can get 10-20 jumps on each run!!

Lungs - Derek it does have a similar feel to Alva - SE is more onshore at Beachmere but that gives you a longer run with still enough cross to get ramps. The bottom is quite flat and steady creating a bigger playing field than the sandbars at Alva. Nice sandy bottom , no booties required and most places you can touch to get a rest.

BIG STIM EVEN GOT OUT!!

Geeeeeze, I've been sailing beachies for many years and the one weekend I cant get out willaus gets the whole crew together.....

For some unknown reason beachmere has been a quiet spot for many many years but produces some of the best side on jumping conditions available anywhere on the SE coast....

The best thing is that there is soooo much space that it would be almost impossible to get too crowded, so anyone who is thinking of coming next time there is a call on, I would highly recommend it.....

Willaus, there may very well be a loud callout this weekend with TC Yasi coming..... I'm iching for a decent jumping sesh after missing out last weekend
