I have sailed there

the first time on some old gear not long after my transplant, my reasons were basicly flat water for learning to sail again, it was se. It and pelican park as lee said is sometimes ok in a sw but not often. I think yesterday would have been good as there was more s in the direction, check the time lapse pics on the woody point web cam, seemed to be small white caps everywhere.
As lee and ikw said most people who sail Redcliffe sail bump n jump conditions around the front. High tide would make a good beginners area, gentle breeze in close and fairly flat water.
