Actually I think there are very few pro's who would be receiving money from their governments for being top level athletes. The few slalom sailors from Turkey are about the only ones I've heard of who get government sponsorship (and maybe some Spanish sailors from the Canary Islands) ...

Restricting passports in Venezuela! That's bazaar is isn't it.
I would offer safe sanctuary for Miss Venezuela though.
