Windsurfing Mooloolaba today

Ahoy,

Have got back into windsurfing after a 15 year hiatus. Been up at Weyba to get my chops back up. Wanna head to mooloolaba for this good N today. Any tips or things I should know before sailing there?

I love sailing at Mooloolaba! Go to the end of Parkyn Pde, and park as close to the rockwall as you can. It's usually busy and parking can take a while to find a spot. Parking is easier after 3pm.

I sailed around the corner at kawana today. I find it a bit easier to negotiate than mooloolaba. No wind shadows or parking hassles. Sort of fun punching out through the waves. No DTL stuff but good practice. My go to spot in a northerly.

I sailed at Ann St Dicky Beach behind the rock outcrop. Was a little too onshore that far around the coast.

Where did you launch from ?
