Just a query to see if anyone in the windsurfing community would be interested in doing a "Windsurfing Instructors Course". The Royal Queensland Yacht Club is looking into running such a course through Yachting Australia in order to increase the number instructors available to teach the kids.

All we are after at the moment are expressions of interest to see if there are the number to warrant looking further into it but if there is a good response I can provide further details.

What sort of time commitment is required and ballpark cost?

The price will depend on how many are interested.
YQ haven't run this course recently so they haven't got details yet.
We are just looking for no obligation expressions of interest.

I'd be pretty keen. It's good fun teaching people, something to do on the light wind days

I have been informed that it will actually be Yachting Queensland running the course, not RQ. My bad.

Hi Scot,
I am keen to participate in this course. I would like to know more about it, i.e. Cost, Date and duration, Qualifications gained and prerequisites ie other certs etc?

Done one many many years ago at Coochie Mudlo Is with YQ. Might be time for a refresher, could be interested will wait for more details.

Ok so the response to the course was awesome. It normally costs around $360.00 to run but if we can guarantee at least 10 participants it will be $260.00. There is a limit of 16 people so hopefully that works out perfectly.

The course is set to start on Friday evening on the 09/08/2013 and run until Sunday the 11th.

Please confirm with a y on this post so Wayne can contact you via PM and fill you in on the finer details.
