By the look of it SW would have been the pick. Too much weed in the water at Manly. I should have just kept driving.

Went to VP, arrived just as the only others there were packing up due to the outgoing tide. Went for a walk to see how far out it goes - think its worse that Lake Cootharaba. At least I sussed out where the anchor rope is so as to avoid it next time

Considered going round/up to Wellington Point - maybe next time its low/outgoing tide I'll go straight there

sailed 4-6 at manly after uni. had to crank upwind and out past the barge for some clean wind, but had a blast once i got there.

didn't notice much weed thou? spotted an odd tennis ball sized clump but wasn't an issue.

I think the more dangerous things are the occasional floating branch. Seen a lot more of them the last few days thou, only 1-2 today. didn't see any big enough to do any real harm but probably enough to leave a good ding.
