with ordinary tides in brisbane we are looking to redcliffe for saturday.

...still looks good up north though.

Well I was thinking the wind and tide are right for some speed at Tom's.
I have a yen to do that again.

Reddies good too. It looks like both Sat and Sunday may well blow.... or is it just an evil trick?

You guys are really good at talking code.
I will be heading out for a sail tommorow and sunday if the forecast plays ball.
Likely goto Wynnum or might try The Train on the goldy for the first time.
Hoping to pick up my new board this arvo. 2011 JP Freestyle wave 112l.. Can't wait. I'm stepping out from training wheels, JP Funster 160l Brick.

No doubt see you guys around.

if the wind picks up this afternoon where will you sail?

I think shearwater is wrong tide, and train is a bit sheltered in a southerly. KFC?

ok, redcliffe was close, but we've been there a few times recentlyish.

so victoria point "The Strip" it is!

the strip is about a 1.5km leisurely sail out from thomsons beach. dead flat in a sou-easter blasting along the bank.

sweet!

i'll see if i can convince some of the local crew, jinxy and friends to come out also if they are around.

low tide is 0.6m at 3.09pm;

it's amazing how quickly you can cover 1.5km

only feels like a 60sec sail.

Gestalt, would horseshoe bay be good this weekend.
Thinking of taking the boat over and surfing out from the bay there.
It would be onshore from the south, so i'm guessing that's ideal?

yep, just don't leave the bay as you will be in real trouble if you get stuck.

it will be very bumpy also so mooring could be a problem. it's usally an anchorage in the NE winds.

i've windsurfed off the back of yatchs there and it's a great spot. bit sharky....

I was feeling lazy so just popped over to manly for a quick sail, filled in from 3:00, probably shoulda rigged down to 5.3 around 4:30, but was nice and flat behind the wall so stayed on the bigger kit for another hour or so

It wasnt bowing at Bowen, just huge rain!!!! I left in a rain storm this morning.
So just lobbed at Yeppoon, hope it gets some of what you guys are scoring.
I just want to get a sail in nothing fancy, just on the plane, hook in and relax back in the harness.

hi all, just moved up to Brissy and have been looking for a good flatwater spot, been following your posts and Vic pt sounds like heaven for me
