Just came across this on the gold coast, has anyone gone this far out by windsurfer, can anyone share some details, thanks. Looking to do this on Friday if possible.

Sailing 3-5km offshore on Friday with forecast 20-25 knot northerly forecast would be challenging but fun!! Do you think whilst sailing in those conditions stopping to find whales is doable.
If it was me I would do it in some lighter conditions... let someone know you are out there.

Yes, I dont have an EPIRB or waterproof bag for my mobile phone. Most importantly I almost certainly have forgotten how to sail too. Just too excited i think...
